Human Services alumni return for annual career panel

Human Services students and faculty greeted four returning alumni March 17 at the annual Human Services Career Awareness Program.

Students asked questions of the professionals about the current job market, graduate school wisdom, career/life balance, and the joys and frustrations on the job. Alumni members of the Human Services Professional Panel included:

Julie Denton ’08 – Child Advocate for CrossRoads Sexual Assault Response & Resource Center

April Durr ’01 – Coordinator of the Healthy Alamance Program

Kali Geskus ’07 – Court Advocate Coordinator at Family Abuse Services

Karen Gobel ’97 – School Social Worker/Counselor at River Mill Academy.
