Hunter Bacot, an associate professor of political science and director of the Elon University Poll, was interviewed twice by News 14 Carolina in recent days about the latest poll findings on issues ranging from President Barack Obama's approval ratings in North Carolina and how residents feel about same-sex marriage.
The March 15-19 poll also included questions about “sunshine” laws in North Carolina. Bacot spoke with News 14 anchor Tracey Early on March 20 and 23. To watch the March 23 interview, click on the link to the right of this page.
He also answered questions from reporter Mike Baker at the Associated Press, which moved a wire story picked up by dozens of newspapers and television stations across the Carolinas. Reports appeared in the News & Observer in Raleigh, the Charlotte Observer, the News & Record (Greensboro, N.C.) and WRAL in Raleigh, among other outlets.
