Ten Elon students attended the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival this weekend in Durham in a trip that was sponsored by elondocs.

President Leo M. Lambert and Bennett College for Women President Julianne Malveaux teamed up for an engaging discussion of issues facing higher education. The event, held April 8 in the Koury Business Center, inaugurated a Fireside Chat series sponsored by the presidents’ offices along with African/African-American studies, Phi Beta Kappa faculty and staff, and women’s and gender studies.

The solace Anthony Weston found over the years spending time outdoors provided the philosophy professor with inspiration for his latest book, The Incompleat Eco-Philosopher, a collection of essays that examine the ethics behind environmental action.

Hundreds of mourners paid tribute April 7 to the life of Edgar Eugene Gooch III, a professor of chemistry remembered for the grace and gentleness that served as “a hallmark for all his interactions.” Gooch died last week when a passing car hit his bicycle on University Drive north of campus.
