Former DEA agent talks about career – April 9

Former DEA Agent Michael McManus, one of the men responsible for arresting a major American drug trafficker whose story is captured by Johnny Depp in the 2001 movie "Blow," will be on campus for a 7:30 p.m. talk in Alumni Gym about his experiences and a career that presents life or death situations every day on the job.

Have you ever seen the movie Blow? Meet the man, Michael McManus, who took part in arresting George Jung, the man who established the American cocaine market in the 1970’s. For several months, Michael worked undercover as an associate of Jung. Hear a firsthand account of the consequences of involvement in the drug world.

McManus’s visit is in coordination with a common good project organized by his daughter, Kelly, a Leadership Fellow at Elon.
