Recognized as one of the nation's most versatile actors with extensive experience in television, theater and film - including Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions - Anthony Zerbe comes to Elon University for three days this month to give a series of one-on-one workshops with performing arts students and for an evening performance based on the work of E.E. Cummings.

Zerbe provides joyous access to the art and energy of E.E. Cummings as he moves through a parade of characters, accents and dazzling word plays, capturing in perfect moments of Cummings favorite subjects: Carnival barkers hawking sex and imagination; the Cambridge ladies staunch in their belief and malice; men speaking about war and those living it; and the writer who finds in the color and terror of the circus the perfect metaphor for his art.
His performance has taken place in more than 100 venues, including the Library of Congress,Harvard University, New York University, Vassar and Fordham.
Zerbe’s career spans nearly five decades. He has appeared in films that includ the Matrix installments, Star Trek Insurrection, True Crime, The Touch, License to Kill, See No Evil – Hear No Evil, Mismatch and The Dead Zone.
He starred as Teaspoon Hunter in the TV series “The Young Riders.” Zerbe received an Emmy Award for his performance as Lt. K.C. Trench in the series “Harry-O.”
Zerbe has appeared in multiple theatre productions across the United States.
