Reynolds Lecture: “‘Mice are Little People Too!’: Some Problems of the Living Laboratory” – May 4

Each year, the philosophy department hosts a lecture by an esteemed philosopher in honor of Ferris E. Reynolds, who taught in the philosophy department at Elon from 1946-1976. The department this spring is delighted to host Rom Harre, visiting professor at Georgetown University, who will be giving a talk based on his extensive scholarship in philosophy of science, philosophy of psychology and bioethics.

The talk will be based on his latest book, Pavlov’s Dogs and Schrodinger’s Cat, just published by Oxford University Press.

Harre will give a fascinating, interdisciplinary talk, and the department hopes faculty, staff and students can attend. Dessert and coffee will be served.
