What Does Blackout Mean to You? Enter the May 1 competition

Show the SPARKS Peer educators how you are promoting safe drinking habits at Elon this Friday, May 1, in the first annual “What Does BlackOut Mean to You?” competition.

For the competition, students should create a three-minute performance piece relating to Blackout Elon, a social norms campaign aimed at telling the truth about alcohol. In the piece, students should address Elon’s drinking habits and how they are helping to change their peers’ drinking misconceptions. Some examples include dance performances, songs, original art or music pieces, and videos.

Students will be able to vote on their favorite submissions on Substance Education website. A prize pot worth $350 will be given out to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place sumbissions. Winners will be announced at the 1st Annual Lighthouse Black Light party on May 7.

Please visit the Elon Substance Education website for a registration form.
