The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business held an induction ceremony for Beta Gamma Sigma initiates Tuesday, May 12 in the LaRose Digital Theatre in Koury Business Center.
Chapter president Dr. Susan Manring and secretary/treasurer Dr. Robert Pavlik presented the inductees, which includes 14 seniors, 28 juniors, and 9 students in the MBA program. Outgoing Beta Gamma Sigma vice presidents Heidi Rice and Miya Stodghill spoke about the chapter’s achievements in the last academic year. Guest speaker Peter Tourtellot, principal of Anderson Bauman Tourtellot Vos and chairman of the LSB Board of Advisors, addressed the inductees.
Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society recognizing the academic achievement of business and management students through chapters in AACSB-accredited business programs. The LSB chapter celebrates its fifth anniversary. Rising seniors Daniel Bell and Erin Berger are the chapter’s 2009-2010 vice presidents.
