Washington, D.C. Alumni will help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Race for the Cure by participating in the race on the National Mall June 6, 2009.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure expects more than 50,000 people to participate in the global race and hopes to raise more than $6.1 million, 75 percent of which will stay in the D.C. area to address breast cancer prevention and treatment disparities in the medically underserved communities.
