Antonio Izzo, assistant professor of biology, published the article “Hybridization of an ITS-based macroarray with ITS community probes for characterization of complex communities of fungi and fungal-like protists” in the current issue of Mycological Research. The article describes an DNA-array based technique for identifying fungi from environmental samples (link)
Izzo additionally co-authored three additional papers accepted for publication earlier this semester:
- Cavender-Bares, J., Izzo, A.D., Robinson, R., and C.E. Lovelock. 2009. Changes in ectomycorrhizal community structure on two containerized oak hosts across an experimental hydrologic gradient. Mycorrhiza. 19(3): 133-142 (link)
