Victoria Davis, a 2009 graduate with a double major in international studies and political science, recently received a Phi Kappa Phi Marjorie Schoch Fellowship.The award provides $5,000 toward graduate or professional study.
Phi Kappa Phi is a national honor society open to individuals from all academic disciplines with chapters at more than 300 colleges and universities. Each Phi Kappa Phi chapter may nominate one student annually to compete for one of 60 Fellowships and 40 Awards of Excellence granted by the society.
Elon University has had an award recipient every year since 2000, but Davis’ award represents the first time an Elon student has received one of the named fellowships that are reserved for top-ranking nominees.
Beginning in the fall, Davis plans to pursue research in Japan through a Fulbright grant before beginning work on a Ph.D. in political science. For more information on her other recent awards, click on the “Related Story” links to the right.
