Parents of Elon DPT alum killed in DC Metro tragedy

The deadliest wreck in the history of the Metrorail system in Washington, D.C., killed the parents of an Elon DPT alum. Services are scheduled for early next week, with a memorial fund established to honor their memories.

Sounds like an old film and TV character cliché, uttered by some "government man" with secret knowledge of some-such goings-on. The idiom is predictably vague because, quite frankly, you don't get to know the insider knowledge.
School of Education hosts meeting of North Carolina’s educational materials professionals

Directors of Curriculum Materials Centers from 15 public and private colleges and universities met June 19 for their biannual meeting at the School of Education. Laura Williams, director of Elon’s Curriculum Resource Center, hosted the meeting of the North Carolina CMC Association.
Summer courses popular in ’09

More than 1,300 students have enrolled in courses at Elon University for the first of two sessions this summer, a time many say they use to complete graduation requirements in advance of studying abroad or to explore topics they otherwise wouldn’t be able to fit into their regular semester schedules.
