The Elon University community gathered Thursday morning for the first time on the brick plaza in front of the Academic Village, where faculty and staff held a special College Coffee before the official start of the academic year.

The plaza was built over the summer on the site formerly occupied by the Holland House. Crews moved the house in June to a field on South Campus where it will be used starting this fall to host the Catholic Newman Center.
The plaza will be the new home for College Coffee this fall.
