Lynne Kurdziel Formato, associate professor of performing arts, just returned from the week long Music Theatre Educators Alliance International Conference in Fredericia, Denmark and Hamburg, Germany.
Formato presented a master class on “American Theatre Dance” for 25 students from the Stage School in Hamburg for colleagues from across Europe and the United States including: Denmark, Germany, Sweden, the UK, Moscow, Illinois, Oklahoma, Alabama, Pennsylvania and New York. Formator is in her second elected term as vice president for the organization and helped to organize the conference agenda.
This past summer, Formator directed and choreographed “Tommy” for the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock, choreographed “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” for Artpark in Lewiston, N.Y., and presented a week of Master Classes as part of the faculty of Dance Masters of America National Teachers’ Training School.
