The Student Bar Association at Elon University School of Law, in conjunction with the law school, is pleased to host the second annual Family and Friends Day at Elon Law, Saturday, September 26.

Lynne Kurdziel Formato, associate professor of performing arts, just returned from the week long Music Theatre Educators Alliance International Conference in Fredericia, Denmark and Hamburg, Germany.

In partnership with synerG, the young professionals initiative of Action Greensboro, Elon University School of Law is hosting a series of educational events to engage the young professional community with Greensboro City Government. As part of this series, the forum, "Local Government 101: Economic Development," will be held in Room 211 at Elon Law on Wednesday, October 21, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

A report that clarifies the mission of the Multicultural Center, to build on its strengths and reflect an expanded role for diversity education activities, is now available online for students, faculty, staff and other members of the Elon University community to read.

William H. Schlesinger serves as president of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, an internationally recognized organization dedicated to solving complex global environmental problems through ecological research and working to bridge the gap between science and policy. He visits campus Sept. 16 for the first Voices of Discovery lecture scheduled for the 2009-2010 academic year.
