Katy Harriger, chair of the Wake Forest University Department of Political Science and constitutional scholar, will offer the Constitution Day address as the fall 2009 Law and Humanities Lecturer. The address will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Isabella Cannon Room, Center for the Arts.
Harriger regularly teaches and publishes in the areas of constitutional law and women in politics. She will offer analysis of the Supreme Court’s decisions regarding Guantanamo Bay detainees in “The Referee Returns: The Supreme Court and the Separation of Powers.”
The event is sponsored by Phi Alpha Delta, the Prelaw Program and The Center for Law and Humanities.
