Research on ADHD in college students by associate professor of psychology Linda Wilmshurst and alumna Marella Peele has been published in the Journal of Attention Disorders.
“Resilience and Well-being in College Students With and Without a Diagnosis of ADHD” found that university students who have ADHD tend to receive more emotional and academic support from their parents, notably their fathers, as opposed to students without ADHD, who reported support coming from their friends and peers.
Wilmshurst and Peele concluded that college students with a diagnosis of ADHD “may represent an especially resilient group.”
