Elon University students McKenzie Young and Jenna Levy presented a paper they co-authored with associate professor of political science Hunter Bacot at the annual conference of the Southern Association for Public Opinion Research, the regional conference of the American Association for Public Opinion Research.
“Identifying Likely Voters from Surveys of General Populations” tries to predict who actually visits the voting booth like they say the will when responding to pollsters.
Young is a junior political science major and statistics minor. She is also a 2009 Lumen Scholar. Levy is a senior communications major who plans to continue her interest in survey research in graduate school next year. Both are Elon University Poll interns.
