Kevin O'Mara, professor of business administration, and Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, presented Oct. 15-17 at the Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Centers conference (GCEC) hosted by the Rice University Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship in Houston.
O’Mara and Palin’s presentation, “Alliances and Partnerships Across Institutions – Models for Effective Collaboration,” focused on universities reaching across campuses and borders to further entrepreneurship education.
Approximately 350 entrepreneurship educators were in attendance for the conference. The GCEC provides a coordinated vehicle through which participating members can collaborate and communicate on the specific issues and challenges confronting university-based entrepreneurship centers.
Palin also presented “Social Entrepreneurship – How Entrepreneurship Programs are Making a Difference in the World,” which reviewed fostering sustainable development through the Social Entrepreneurship and Education Consortium (SEEC).
