Members of Elon Law's Class of 2009 celebrated homecoming on October 23. Many graduates participated in a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course about legal leadership during times of complexity and change, and over forty graduates met for a social hour in downtown Greensboro.
At the evening event, law school dean George R. Johnson, Jr. said members of the charter class had made an extraordinary contribution to Elon Law.
“You played a pivotal role in shaping the law school and its future,” Johnson said. “We could not have achieved all that we have without you.”
Melissa Duncan, President of the Elon Law Alumni Association, said she was pleased to see so many graduates back together.
“The great turnout reflects the bond that was created not only among members of the charter class, but also between the charter class and the law school,” Duncan said.
“The law school has shown continued support and encouragement for all alumni, and it was a great opportunity for alumni, faculty and staff to reconnect,” Duncan continued. “We hope that this homecoming weekend at Elon Law was the beginning of a tradition, the first of many more homecoming reunions at Elon Law.”
