Live Oak Communications, a student-run, full-service communications agency, will be hosting its fall open house from 4-5:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 in its offices at the corner of Williamson Avenue and Lebanon Avenue. Anyone interested in applying for staff positions for the Spring 2010 semester is encouraged to attend the event on Monday for more information.
“Live Oak is a fantastic place for students to develop professional skills for the working world,” said Live Oak Director Jennifer DiVenuti. “The open house will give students a small taste of what Live Oak offers its members.”
The session will outline the commitment and responsibilities required from staff, as well as exhibit previous work done by the agency. During the event students will also have the opportunity to meet current members and ask questions regarding the agency or application process.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting the incoming staff,” said Creative Director Lauren Warr. “We love the fresh insight and drive they bring to the organization.”
