Elon Law professor Howard Katz spoke about urban planning at an October 27 forum in Greensboro, organized to gather public input on the city's initiative to create a Downtown Area Consolidated Plan.
Katz spoke about best practices to advance urban planning projects and encouraged attendees to help move the downtown planning process forward by reviewing and commenting on prior downtown development plans.
“Making great, walkable, vibrant places, especially downtowns, doesn’t happen by accident,” Katz said. “It requires planning.”
