The Department of Performing Arts will be collecting donations this spring for local agencies and, in return for contributions at select shows, will offer free tickets to future performances.
Shows with boxes and the nonprofits to which the items will be donated:
o The Time of Your Life and 110 in the Shade (Loaves and Fishes)
o Love’s Labour’s Lost (Crossroads Rape and Sexual Assault Crisis Center)
o Elements (Alamance Humane Society)
In addition to the collections, the Department of Performing Arts will offer half-price admission to Love’s Labor’s Lost for residents of local retirement communities during the April 25 afternoon matinee. The discount applies only to advance ticket purchases and not day-of admission. Details are still being arranged.
Volunteers with Big Brothers, Big Sisters have been invited to bring their “Littles” to the May 8 matinee performance of Elements free of charge.
