CATL and TLT announce a range of stimulating and practical Teaching and Learning programs to be held in January, including discussion and book groups, seminars, presentations, and several "Lunch and Learns".
Winter 2010 Programs
- A session on engaging students in course design and the scholarship of teaching and learning;
- A two-part discussion of Nicholas Carr’s recent book The Big Switch;
- A conversation with John Saltmarsh on community-based teaching and research;
- An exploration of diversity and pluralism in Elon’s classrooms;
- Lunch-and-learn sessions on collaborative online tools and on “technology stew”;
- Course development groups, for faculty designing new or revising existing courses;
- Course inquiry groups for faculty who are working to create scholarly publications or presentations related to teaching and learning.

TLT – Teaching and Learning Technologies is a matrix, team-based group of instructional consultants, educational technologists, multimedia specialists and information technology professionals who work to support faculty, staff and students to provide guidance and support for seamless integration of technology and teaching. TLT also provides a variety of services ranging from consulting with faculty about technology integration, creating multimedia course components, managing summer online courses, and facilitating emerging technology seminars.
