The Center for Advancement of Teaching and Learning has announced the Fall 2009 recipients of Teaching and Learning Grants.
Grants were awarded to:
- Mat Gendle, Psychology: Human Neuroanatomy at Elon
- Cynthia Lewis, Physical Therapy: Student Engagement in a Physical Therapy Service Learning Program “Clients to Lab”
- Joshua Kapfer Environmental Studies & Ryan Kirk, Geography: Cross-class field-based course development in Wildlife Ecology and Introduction to Geographical Information Systems
- Stephen Futrell, Music: Voce Vista Pro Software
- Michael Rodriguez, Business: Utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) in professional selling
- Matt Buckmaster, Music: Transformative Musical collaborating: Enriching the EDU 481 Educational Internship
- Rissa Trachman, Anthropology: Embodied and Situated Teaching and Learning in Biological Anthropology
CATL’s Teaching and Learning Grants program supports innovative teaching and learning projects. These grants generally support start-up and one-time expenses, such as materials and stipends.
Applications come from full-time faculty as individual or team projects, and are reviewed by a faculty committee each fall and spring semester.
