Tina Das, professor of economics, and Casey DiRienzo, associate professor of economics in the Love School of Business, have published an article, “The Nonlinear Impact of Globalization on Corruption,” in the International Journal of Business and Finance Research (vol. 3(2): 33-46, 2009).
Their study explores the question of whether globalization increases the opportunity for corrupt practices or leads to a decrease in corruption. Their research suggests that the effect of globalization on corruption is dependent on the level of globalization, with the highest levels of corruption levels realized at moderate or transitioning levels of globalization.
The International Journal of Business and Finance Research publishes high-quality peer- reviewed articles in areas of finance, economics and accounting, and provides an outlet for theoretical, empirical and applied manuscripts.
