Steve DeLoach, a professor of economics, spoke Jan. 8 with News 14 Carolina about the overall health of the American economy and when the public can expect to see job growth and lower unemployment figures.
The segment will air over the weekend on the statewide 24-hour cable news channel. DeLoach spoke with news anchor Tracey Early for the media outlet’s regular “Talkback” feature, telling viewers that job growth often lags behind the end of a recession as businesses reinvest in current employees before hiring new ones.
