Prudence Layne, an assistant professor of English and director of the African/African-American Studies Program at Elon, has had her article "Reincarnating Legba: Caribbean Writers at the Crossroads" published in the new book Postcolonial Ghosts.
Edited by Mélanie Joseph-Vilain and Judith Misrahi-Barak, the book is a collection of essays on how ghosts manifest themselves in the English-speaking world, and the ways they are described in post-colonial Caribbean literature.
Layne initially presented her paper at a conference in Montpellier, France, in 2007 and was invited to submit her scholarship for publication.
