The Elon Phoenix Weekly, a sports magazine show that airs regionally on ESPN2 in North Carolina, is looking for students who want to gain more experience and training in high-level production in a cinematic style.
The show is a program of the School of Communications and the Elon Athletics Department in association with ESPN2. EPW welcomes freshman to graduate students.
Students can produce between one and eight segments, depending on how much time they have to dedicate to the productions. There are eight shows scheduled for the spring semester, starting March 8.
The Elon Phoenix Weekly is looking for students to staff the following positions:
- Producer
- Segment Producers
- Camera Operators for high-end lit interviews and game footage
- Writers for segments and studio introductions
- Studio Camera Operator
- Teleprompter
- Jib Operator
- Reporters
- Anchors
- Audio Operators
- TIMELAPSE Photographers
- Still Photographers
No experience is necessary, and training on all facets of the show will be offered. There are no weekly meetings unless students are on the studio crew.
