Clyde Ellis, professor of History, gave a public lecture Friday Feb. 26 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in conjunction with the university's 2010 colloquium series, "New Directions in Folklore."
His lecture, “More Real Than The Indians Themselves: The Early Years of the Indian Lore Movement in the United States, 1900-1940,” was drawn from the research and fieldwork for his most recent book-length project on the Indian hobbyist movement in the United States.
