Carol Smith recently made two presentations at the Southern District Conference for the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, and was elected chair of the Council on Community Recreatoin and Outdoor Education.
Smith’s individual presentation was titled “Can adventure programs affect student retention?” and she co-presented “Circle up to dance” with three public school physical education specialists at the conference.
In addition to serving as a representative to the General Assembly, Smith completed her three-year commitment as the member-at-large to the Council on Physical Education for Children. Smith also was elected chair of the newly-formed Council on Community Recreation and Outdoor Education.
