In mid-February, Donna Van Bodegraven, associate professor of Spanish, presented a paper titled "The Border-Crossing Experience in Recent Mexican and Chicano Theater" at the annual conference of the National Association of Hispanic and Latino Studies held in Baton Rouge, La.
The conference was sponsored by the National Association of African American Studies and its affiliates. Van Bodegraven’s paper was based on a chapter of her 2007 thesis, “The Border Experience in Mexican and Chicano Theater Since 1993,” which she submitted in partial fulfillment for the requirements for a master’s degree in Latin-American Studies from the University of Arizona.
