The campus community continues to respond enthusiastically to the annual Faculty/Staff Campaign. As of mid-March, 409 employees, or 32 percent of faculty and staff, have donated $251,000 in cash and annual gift commitments. During 2008-2009, 35 percent of faculty and staff contributed $234,000 to support the university.
All gifts to the Faculty/Staff Campaign count as contributions to Ever Elon: The Campaign for the Future of Our University, which seeks to build the university’s endowment, increase annual and planned giving, and build and preserve the campus. As of mid-March, donors to Ever Elon have contributed close to $75 million toward the $100 million comprehensive campaign goal.
In February and March, Nancy Harris and Greg Zaiser, co-chairs of the Faculty/Staff Campaign, along with University Advancement staff encouraged the campus community to make a gift to support what they cherish most about Elon. For the second year, the Office of University Advancement provided weekly prize drawings for donors to the campaign.
There is still time to participate in the 2009-10 Faculty/Staff Campaign. All gifts, regardless of the size, help preserve the best of Elon and enable the university to reach new levels of excellence.
