Elon Law's office of Career Services invites law students for a panel presentation regarding post graduate judicial clerkships, Thursday, April 8 from noon to 1 pm in Room 204. If you are rising third-year student and plan to apply for judicial clerkships during the summer months or you are a rising second-year law student who is interested in hearing more about judicial clerkships following law school, this is an important panel to attend.
Moderating the panel will be Justice James G. Exum, Jr., retired Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court and Elon Law’s Distinguished Jurist in Residence.
Panelists include: Judge Ben Tennille of the North Carolina Business Court and his law clerk, Corrine Jones, Esq.; Judge Rick Elmore of the North Carolina Court of Appeals; and Neil Oakley, Esq. (Elon L’09), law clerk to Judge Ann Marie Calabria of the NC Court of Appeals.
The judges will address the qualities and qualifications they seek in clerks, as well as specifics about the application and interview processes. The judicial clerks will provide tips for your applications and your interviews and share with you a typical day.
