One hundred percent of Elon Law faculty contribute to law school scholarship fund for second consecutive year

Every member of the faculty at Elon University School of Law contributed to the Law School Faculty and Staff Campaign this year, and 80 percent of the staff at Elon Law contributed, helping to raise substantial funds for law student scholarships.

Eugenia Leggett, associate dean for development at Elon Law, said the breadth of financial contributions from faculty and staff to the annual fund was evidence of broad support within the institution for the law school’s mission, to prepare law students for leadership roles in the profession and in society, and to enrich legal education through the infusion of engaged learning techniques into the study of law.

“The faculty’s one hundred percent support for the scholarship fund, for a second consecutive year, together with a large increase in support from the law school’s administration and staff, conveys the strong sense shared purpose here to advance Elon Law’s mission,” Leggett said. “The funds contributed by the faculty and staff will be used to provide scholarships for numerous law students, making a huge difference in the lives of students throughout their time in law school and beyond.”

The percentage of law school administration and staff contributing to the Law School Faculty and Staff Campaign this year reached a record level, as did the total amount contributed by law school faculty and staff to the Campaign.
