Elon Law faculty present Strongest Comprehensive Performance awards to law students

On April 8, Elon University School of Law hosted its final Reception with the Legal Community for the academic year. During the reception, Elon Law faculty presented Strongest Overall Performance awards to students for the 2008-2009 academic year.
BET’s Jeff Johnson speaks on diversity and leadership

“Diversity” has become a buzzword on college campuses that misses a larger point, said activist and BET personality Jeff Johnson, who visited campus Saturday for Elon University’s inaugural Diversity Leadership Conference. More should be done to foster greater community, he said, and responsibility for that rests with student leaders.

Elon Chapter of the Innocence Project hosts Greg Taylor, exonerated after 17 years in prison

On April 12, Greg Taylor told Elon Law students about his incredible story, spending 17 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission recently found Taylor innocent after nearly two decades in prison for a first-degree murder conviction.
