Lindsay Travis Bedford ‘05 will be named the Autism Society of North Carolina’s "Teacher of the Year" on April 24, 2010, during the organization’s annual conference.
Bedford did her student teaching at Ephesus Elementary School in Chapel Hill and was later hired there. She has taught a self-contained classroom for students with autism for five years.
“I was very lucky and blessed to go through such a great program and work with professors that still have an impact on my teaching,” said Bedford, who earned her degree in elementary and special education.
