Jason A. Kirk, assistant professor of political science and international studies, had his book, India and the World Bank: The Politics of Aid and Influence, published by Anthem Press last week.
On Thursday, April 22, he was invited by the World Bank’s India Club to speak about the book, in a presentation moderated by the World Bank’s country director for India, Roberto Zagha.
Kirk’s presentation came on the eve of the annual spring meetings of the World Bank and IMF, and led to a stimulating exchange of views on the historical evolution and possible future directions of the Bank’s assistance strategy in India, which is the Bank’s largest cumulative borrower.
