Elon Academy receives major gift from Lyon family

Elon trustee Frank R. Lyon ’71 and his wife, Natalie Lyon, of New Canaan, Conn., longtime supporters of the Elon Academy, have made a major gift for the creation of an endowed scholarship that will aid graduates of the college enrichment program for high school students in Alamance County.
Barry Bradberry receives admissions award

Barry Bradberry, associate dean of admissions and financial planning, received the William Starling Award from SACAC, the Southern Association for College Admissions Counseling, at the group's April 19 meeting in Jacksonville, Fla. Five Elon staff members represented the university at the conference.
African-American Alumni Summit sets benchmarks for progress

More than 50 African-American alumni of the past four decades gathered on campus April 23-24 for the African-American Alumni Summit hosted by Elon's Office of Alumni Relations. Attendees focused on how the more than 1,200 African-American alumni of Elon can partner with the university to engage in the life of the campus, particularly for African-American students.
