Stephen Bloch-Schulman, assistant professor of philosophy, has co-authored an article with Spoma Jovanovic (associate professor of communications at UNC-Greensboro) in the latest volume of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
The article, “Who’s Afraid of Politics? On the Need to Teach Political Engagement,” stems from their collaborative work together in Greensboro, including the teaching of the Reclaiming Democracy course.
The course brings together faculty and students from colleges and universities in Greensboro, with activists and community members, to study democracy in Greensboro and to act to make Greensboro a more democratic community.
