Interactive Media master's students Maria Rojas and Cathy Freeman were quoted in a WRAL.com story covering the WWW2010 conference in Raleigh, N.C. The Imagining the Internet Center at Elon sponsored FutureWeb, which ran jointly with WWW2010 at the Raleigh Convention Center.
Rojas and Freeman worked with high school students who participated in the event’s Social Media Futures Academy. They stressed the importance of protecting online identities.
“Make sure that you’re not saying things or posting things online in the heat of the moment that you maybe haven’t thought through,” Freeman told WRAL.com.
