Hunter Bacot, an associate professor of political science and director of the Elon University Poll, was interviewed by News 14 Carolina this week on the primary election results from May 4 and how both political parties move forward in the lead-up to November's general election.
Bacot spoke with news anchor Tracey Early, who focused the interview on the run-off that will be held between former state Sen. Cal Cunningham and current N.C. Secretary of State Elaine Marshall for the Democratic nomination. The winner of the June run-off will face incumbent Republican Sen. Richard Burr in the November election.

Bacot has appeared frequently this spring on the statewide, round-the-clock cable news channel, which reaches tens of thousands of Time Warner cable subscribers in North Carolina.
