Elon University Career Services received a “silver ranking” in OUT for Work’s Career Center Certification Program, the first program designed to assess the quality, quantity and availability of career resource materials for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students.
The primary goal of the CCCP is to provide academic institutions and students with an evaluation of the support available to LGBTQ students facing employment and workplace challenges.
Career centers are ranked as gold, silver or bronze based on the results of the CCCP survey. Elon University Career Services is one the very few North Carolina career centers ranked, and was only one level below a gold ranking.
Other universities ranking on the highest silver level were Illinois State University, Mills College, University of Pennsylvania and Williams College.
