Christy Benson, an assistant professor of business law and ethics, and Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship, presented June 26 at the International Council for Small Business World Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“Entrepreneurship: Bridging Global Boundaries” was the theme of the conference. The two Elon faculty members co-presented with Tom Cooney, president of the European Council for Small Business and Research Fellow at Dublin Institute of Technology in Dublin, Ireland.
Benson, Palin and Cooney presented a workshop, “Combining experiential education and entrepreneurship to attack social issues: perspectives from America and Ireland.”
Founded in 1955, the International Council for Small Business was the first international membership organization to promote the growth and development of small businesses worldwide. The organization brings together educators, researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the world to share knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.
