Lee Bush, associate professor in the School of Communications, published an article on student communications agencies in the July 8 edition of PR News Online.
The “PR Insiders” column, titled “Student Communications Agencies Groom Entry-Level Applicants,” discusses the benefits of student agencies in providing the meaningful experience employers seek from graduates entering the profession. In the article, Bush also mentions the success of Live Oak Communications, Elon’s student communications agency, which was established in 2007.
She links the support received by Elon and local professionals to the agency’s growth, and encourages professionals to become more involved with student-run agencies in their areas.
