Peter Felten, assistant provost and director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, recently presented at two international conferences.
On June 24 in Toronto at the annual Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education conference, Donna Ellis (University of Waterloo, Canada) and Felten facilitated a session exploring how creative teaching can and should be evaluated. This year’s STLHE conference was attended by more than 700 faculty and academic administrators from across Canada.
On June 28 in Barcelona at the biennial conference of the International Consortium of Educational Development, Catherine Bovill (University of Glasgow, UK), Alison Cook-Sather (Bryn Mawr, US), and Felten led a symposium, “Changing Participants in Pedagogical Planning: Students as Co-Creators of Courses, Curricula, and Teaching Approaches.” The ICED conference was attended by more than 400 faculty and educational developers from 32 countries.
Felten currently is a member of ICED’s governing council.
