Fifteen brave Elon faculty and staff members donned garbage bags and set aside their dignity for the annual "Pie Your Professor" event at the spring semester's final College Coffee in May.
The fundraising event was sponsored by Alpha Phi Omega, Elon’s co-ed service fraternity. For a $1 donation, students got the chance to fill a pie tin with whipped cream and pick out their favorite target. Among the most frequently “pied” were Father Gerry Waterman, Elon’s Catholic Campus Minister, and Joel Karty, associate professor of chemistry.
