Join D.C. alumni for a night of service with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on October 16 in Freedom Plaza. Festivities and check in begins at 5 p.m. and the 2.5 mile walk begins at 8 p.m.
Light the Night is the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Walks take place in communities throughout the United States and Canada, typically in the fall. On these special nights, thousands of participants carry illuminated balloons and raise funds for vital, lifesaving research and patient services.
Anyone can take part – children, adults and seniors are all welcome. This is a casual fundraising walk with no fitness requirements.
To register, visit www.lightthenight.org/register and search for the Elon Alumni Friends and Family team.
