Susan Wise, coordinator of Disabilities Services, and Troy Martin, assistant director of Academic Support, attended the national AHEAD Conference in Denver, Colo., July 12-17.
This year’s conference theme, “Person – Disability – Diversity – Humanity,” included a range of topics from the ADA Amendments Act and accessibility issues, universal-design in higher education, and diversity / social justice issues among people with disabilities. The 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was a focal point of discussion at this year’s conference.
