Students in the Elon in Los Angeles program will screen their final films starting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 4 at the Mark Goodson Theater at the The American Film Institute.
The reception will be at 7 p.m., followed by the screenings at 8 p.m. and a second reception at 9 p.m. Students in the production class directed and produced the films, students in the acting class performed in them, and students in the PR class publicized the event and the individual films.
Following each screening, one student will speak for a couple of minutes about the filmmaking process to an audience that will include Elon in LA faculty, other students, alumni and other guests. Among those in attendance will be Paul Castro, the screenwriter of the film “August Rush” and an incoming cinema professor in Elon’s School of Communications.
